YUM, YUM, YUM!!! Sugar Cookies Recipe with Chalk!

I originally was going to create
something using our
Baking Spirits Bright transfer,
which is a Gingerbread Man,
and was going to chalk it onto
our Reclaimed Metal Tray.
I even molded a cutout
of the Gingerbread Man
using Polymer Clay.
Then....
I ended up selling my transfer,
right before going LIVE
AND the tray in a bundle

So, I needed to figure out
what I would do for my LIVE
at the last minute.
So, I brought out "Sugar Cookies"
and I'm soooo glad I did.
I think this turned out AMAZING!!
I had a couple of mishaps
during the LIVE,
creating this...
BUT...
that's where YOU can see
how to FIX it!
WIN, WIN!!
I think this has become
one of my favorites!
It would make a great
Valentine's Day gift...
OR
part of your Valentine's Day decor,

!

A Santa Gift Sack!
And it is completely REUSABLE!
Just switch up the gift tag,
and the recipient can reuse it.

I thought this Transfer, Vintage Yuletide Trio was PERFECT for a Window Pane Design

The moment I saw this transfer,
Vintage Yuletide Trio,
I KNEW I had to chalk it onto some
window panes.
Then...
I FOUND this surface, and knew
it was meant to be!
Because the transfer only had
3 different characters/parts
I added the deer from
Seasonal Deer.

I thought it needed SOMETHING,
and decided I would go and
purchase some "window spray snow".
Then....
I thought...
I'll try dipping a washcloth
into the chalk paste,
and dab it on the bottoms
of each window pane.
And I LOVE it!

EASY DIY Christmas Decor: 'Twas the Night Before Christmas.... Pottery ...

EASY DIY Christmas Decor,
using Night Before Christmas Transfer.
Very classy looking..
I accidentally chalked the "stockings' Candy Apple Red,
but I wanted it to be Parakeet Green.
You'll see in the LIVE that I was able
to fix it,
So, washed it off on the LIVE,
But after the LIVE published,
I chalked it with Parakeet Green

DIY Chalked "Big Things, Little Things + Everything in Between"

In this tutorial,
I've demonstrated 2 different designs,
using our Club Couture transfer
 of the month, once more.
Less House, More Home

But, in this design,
I only used part of the transfer.
Chalk Couture is sooo flexible.
You can add multiple transfers
to your design,
OR
eliminate parts of a single transfer.
It's entirely up to YOU!

AND...
a design using
Thankful for Little Things.
Both of these Farmhouse style decor
wall hangings,
took only about 5 minutes to create!
They're SUPER EASY!
EASY PEASY!!!

GRATEFUL FOR LITTLE THINGS

Part 2 of the Southwest Collection Wood Trays..."Born To Be Wild"

You saw the prior tutorial,
where I created a design
on the smaller wood serving tray...
Well....
here's another to make a complete set.
Here, I used the coordinating transfer,
Southwest Collection: "Born to be Free"
I did change the design AFTER this video was published.
I just wasn't happy with the "words"
on the serving tray.
So, instead, I used part of the
transfer that I used in
the 1st smaller serving tray,
as a nice border.
I think it's PERFECT!

Is Southwest Decor Your Style?...You'll LOVE This Chalked Wood Serving ...

Was playing a little outside the box, tonight.
Thought I would try the
Southwest Collection Motif transfer
on a rustic handled wood serving tray.

Southwest Collection-Motif

I was soooo worried
that this wasn't going to turn out...
BUT,
it turned out much better than I had anticipated.
What do you think?
Tomorrow night,
I'm going to do the matching larger tray
using our transfer from the same   Southwest Collection,
with Born to be Wild.
I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE IT!!!

Spreading some "Holiday Joy" with Chalkology Paste (Part 2)

So, last night
I hope you got to view
the tutorial using
our "Holiday Joy" Transfer
on a black background.
Well, tonight
I used the SAME exact transfer,
and chalked it onto
a white background,
using our
Gold Framed 18" Round Boutique Board.
What a difference the background makes!
(As you can see)
One is more dramatic,
and the other is a classic.
Can you guess which is dramatic?
If you guessed the black background
you are correct.
Which is your favorite?
I think I'm liking the "dramatic".

I know I'm always telling you
how our transfers are reusable,
and you should get 10-12 uses
out of each transfer....
Well, tonight I struggled a bit
with my used transfer,
but only because the night before,
when I used it and washed it,
it was quite late, and I needed to get up for work the next morning, on only a few hours of sleep.
Apparently, I didn't clean the transfer
well enough.
In fact, there was still some dried chalk
within the silk screen...
SHAME ON ME, LOL
Also, it did sit in the bath water
for quite some time folded, as it didn't fit
in the bath water, because
it is quite a large transfer.
A crease developed in the transfer
which caused some bleeding of the chalk
in the beginning of the tutorial.
I was able to demonstrate how to
FIX the problem.
I know...you gals get to learn
from my mistakes and mishaps
right on the LIVES.
Oh, well, everything doesn't
always go perfectly,
but it's always a learning experience.

Here are the two VERY different
designs using the same Transfer,
"Holiday Joy"

Chalk Couture got it right,
when they created these
Wood Cutout Ornaments
AND
designed a transfer
that fits them to a "T"

All you have to do
is chalk them
with one of your
favorite transfers,
such as the
Classic Ornaments Transfer,
The Warm Wishes Mini Transfer,
or

Chalked up some
"Ready Set Snow"
tonight....but
I'm soooo NOT ready,
even though it's already here,
and not going anywhere for awhile.
Had a few hiccups during the LIVE
BUT...
You get to see how easy it is
to wipe away what you don't like,
or your mistakes.
It's THAT EASY!

SANTA, PLEASE STOP HERE!
Because I NEED more
Chalk Paste, Transfers

Just saying.

I redid last night's "One Star" design.
I like the color scheme better,
this time around.

THEN....
I created these

Chalk Couture is AMAZING!!!

Really, "Santa, I Can Explain"...Chalkin' Up a Time-Out Chair

REALLY,
"SANTA, I CAN EXPLAIN"
The reason why I get to bed in the early hours of the morning,
and wake up late,
is because this
"chalking" has me under it's spell!
Maybe, I need the "time-out" chair.
lol

What do you think?
Are these 2 adorable
snowmen on the
"naughty" or "nice" list?

Giving our Furry Friends some LOVE, Inking Up Some Bandanas, PLUS "Count...

We can't forget about our Furry Friends, now, can we?
Our Beagle puppy, Shyla,
was spayed yesterday,
and has been sporting
Recovery Suit, and lookin' FINE!  LOL
I got to thinking...
What could I ink on for them?
I found a bandana for Oakley in black,
and Shyla's is actually a baby bandana bib!
I found her bib at the D........T.... store.
Then I had to find a transfer
that would be appropriate
for a bandana.
I ended up using,
"Don't Grow Up, It's a Trap"
for Oakley's black bandana and
inked it in Copper Ink.
For Shyla's I decided on
using the "Santa, I Can Explain" transfer,
but just used the "I Can Explain".
I inked hers in Copper Ink, as well.
What do you think?

Also, in the LIVE video,
I created a holiday,Christmas design,
using Countdown to Santa.
Love how it turned out!

Don't Grow Up, It's a Trap

I Can Explain

AND...
"Countdown to Santa"
How cute is this...
