DON'T LOOK AWAY CAMPAIGN; LOVEISRESPECT

MARY KAY BELIEVES THAT EVERYONE DESERVES TO BE IN A SAFE AND HEALTHY RELATIONSHIP.

Through The Mary Kay Foundation's national Don’t Look Away campaign, it is taking steps to educate people on how to recognize the signs of an abusive relationship and what they can do about it. In fact, Mary Kay’s new national Don’t Look Away survey (click here for results; click here (for infographic) shows a stark contrast in perceptions and the reality of teen relationships – 1 in 3 teenage girls is facing dating abuse.
Mary Kay is proud to be the lead sponsor of the loveisrespect “text for help” service – the nation’s first texting program designed to help young people with healthy dating and relationships.
The texting program is a safe, anonymous resource for teens and young adults to seek help andinformation about healthy relationships. Young people can connect by texting with peer advocates for research-based information about the dynamics of relationships. Available 24 hours a day, seven days a week, the texting program also provides resources to parents, teachers and friends of young people.
Mary Kay has a long-term commitment to prevent and help bring an end to domestic violence.  Mary Kay’s support of the loveisrespect texting program furthers that commitment by providing a resource for young people on healthy dating and relationships. It is our hope that together, we can break the cycle of domestic violence before it starts.

Mary Kay is committed to providing support to those who are experiencing abuse as well as those who have survived it, but we can’t do it alone. We ask that you Don’t Look Away if you suspect that someone you know is in an unhealthy relationship. Instead, take action and help.
If you or someone you know is experiencing abuse and needs help, send the text “loveis” to 77054.
