Twas 11 Days Before Christmas, I Am Still the Light
Written by Cameo Smith
Twas 11 days before Christmas, around 9:38,
When 20 beautiful children stormed through heaven's gate.
Their smiles were contagious, their laughter filled the air.
They could hardly believe all the beauty they saw there.
They were filled with such joy,
They didn't know what to say.
They remembered nothing of what had happened earlier that day.
"Where are we?" asked a little girl, as quiet as a mouse.
"This is heaven." declared a small boy,
We're spneding Christmas at God's house."
When what to their wondering eyes did appear,
but Jesus, their savior, the children gathered near.
He looked at them and smiled, and they smiled just the same.
Then He opened His arms and He called them by name.
And in that moment was joy, that only heaven can bring.
Those children all flew into the arms of their King.
And as they lingered in the warmth of His embrace,
one small girl turned and looked at Jesus' face.
And as He could read all the questions she had,
He gently whispered to her, "I'll take care of Mom and Dad."
Then He looked down on earth, the world far below.
He saw all of the hurt, the sorrow, and woe.
Then He closed His eyes and He outstretched His hand.
"Let My power and presence re-enter this land!"
"May this country be delivered from the hands of fools."
"I'm taking back my nation. I'm taking back my schools!"
Then He and the children stood up without a sound.
"Come, now, my children, let me show you around."
Excitement filled the space, some skipped and some ran,
All displaying enthusiasm that only a small child can.
And I heard Him proclaim, as He walked out of sight,
"In the midst of this darkness, I AM STILL THE LIGHT."

MERRY CHRISTMAS
Well, the Christmas season is upon us. Working in retail, I have the chance to see all the shoppers.
Some of them have their list in one hand, and a sales flyer in the other, some just browse hoping to find
that perfect gift, some shop alone, while others share their shopping experience with friends or family,
and yet some are out there having a BLAST wearing their Santa hats enjoying every moment.
But, although it may be politically correct to wish others a "Happy Holiday", I just can't get myself to
do it. If it's either a customer at work, or someone I bump into out in town, I always wish them a
"Merry Christmas". I prefer to keep Christ in Christmas. And I've noticed when I do, even with all
of the hustle and bustle, just like magic, I can feel the joy in their hearts, as I hear, "Merry Christmas to
you, too." And for a moment, I feel the peace, the greatest gift, His only Son. So, in closing, I'd like to
wish you and your family a very Merry Christmas.

Hi, Ladies,
Hey, I've opened up my Mary Kay business recently. Oh, my gosh, I never would've thought I'd do it. But I contemplated it for a bit, and then after Mark ordered some Chinese one night for dinner, I opened up my fortune cookie, and guess what!! My fortune said to sign up as a Mary Kay Beauty Consultant!!! No, not really. LOL There's a hint of truth in that last statement....but then again those "fortunes" are all so vague, aren't they...you could relate them to anything in your life. But anyhow, I came to love the Mary Kay products, especially the Time Wise Repair and the
Satin Hands Pampering Set. Find it here on my site.
Sooooo, if any of you have some "skin", let me borrow your face. I need to do 30 faces as part of my training. And we'll get to sample some of the makeup lines for a complimentary holiday makeover, and facial. If you want, bring along or wear the dress or outfit you plan to wear to some of the parties you may be attending, and we'll compliment your makeup to your outfit. Or if you want to try a sultry smokey eye for New Years Eve....let's do it!! Bring a friend or two, and I'll give you $75 worth of products for only $35. And please, please, please....don't worry if you don't want to buy anything....in fact....leave your purse or wallet in the car. I just need to get the experience, and more than anything would like to hear your opinions about some of the great products we try out. So, call me and let's set something up. I also, am planning on going to a Saturday Skin Care Salad Luncheon, on Dec. 22nd. My Sales Director holds these with 2 other Sales Directors, out in Brookfield. If you want to come along, let me know...you'll get to try some products, and get tips from the pros. Bring a friend, as well, if you'd like. Let's have some "girly" fun!! If you're not local feel free to check my Mary Kay Website out. You can order 24/7, and as ALWAYS....FREE SHIPPING! If you want to get outside orders from your friends, you'll get 20% off of your order.
Well the snow has been falling here, in Two Rivers, all day. I guess winter is finally here. And we may, indeed have a White Christmas. I realize I've been missing in action here for awhile. I've had many changes this past year, and just wanted to share it all with you. I've put off my stamping lately. And actually have been selling most of my products, since I haven't been using them. If there's anything specific you're looking for, give me a buzz. I'm not looking to profit on anything...I'd like to share the joy of stamping with some of you who might need the products. It's just taking up space right now.
I am a Grandma, again. I have a grandson, Vincent Robert Koeppel. He is so adorable, and such a snuggler. And happy, OMG!!! His big smile just melts my heart. Now, Emily has a baby brother, and just loves being a BIG sister. He's her baby, as she'd say.
Playtime
There's no greater blessing like being a Grandma.
Also, something new is I'm working at Shopko in Manitowoc, now. I work in the apparel and just love it! It's part time, and it gets me out of the house to meet new people here. It's really enjoyable, and everybody there is so sweet. It's like family there.
Well, I'm going to sign off for now. Time to head off to bed....and I'll TTYL. Have a GREAT week!

Dinner at Gebraltar Grill in Door County....A Dog Friendly Restaurant :)
Last night we drove up to Door County, to see the sites and grab some dinner. We ate here at the Gribraltar Grill. It is an awesome restaurant with outdoor dining and bar. They are a "dog friendly" restaurant. In fact, they serve your pooch a bowl of cold water, and a dog bone. If you like, you can order your dog some Bowser Beer for Dogs. How cool is that? LOL If you bring your dog to the restaurant, they will take a pic of him and upload it to their Facebook Page . Then have your friends and family vote for your pet, by "liking" the pic of your pooch. Each month the dog with the most "likes" or votes wins the "Dog Pal of the Month". If your pet wins, you win a gift certificate.
Here is our Golden Retriever, Oakley at the Gibraltar Grill last night. You can click here, and "like" his pic to submit your vote. I hope he wins! :D
Here's some pics of the Gebraltar Grill in Fish Creek, WI up in Door County.
The Gibraltar Grill even offers free pick-up and drop-off to your hotel, cabin or home, with this local electric car. |
You can relax by the fire pit, and enjoy the entertainment. |
