Well, the Christmas season is upon us. Working in retail, I have the chance to see all the shoppers.
Some of them have their list in one hand, and a sales flyer in the other, some just browse hoping to find
that perfect gift, some shop alone, while others share their shopping experience with friends or family,
and yet some are out there having a BLAST wearing their Santa hats enjoying every moment.
But, although it may be politically correct to wish others a "Happy Holiday", I just can't get myself to
do it. If it's either a customer at work, or someone I bump into out in town, I always wish them a
"Merry Christmas". I prefer to keep Christ in Christmas. And I've noticed when I do, even with all
of the hustle and bustle, just like magic, I can feel the joy in their hearts, as I hear, "Merry Christmas to
you, too." And for a moment, I feel the peace, the greatest gift, His only Son. So, in closing, I'd like to
wish you and your family a very Merry Christmas.

Merry CHRISTmas to you too! The other day at work I said Happy Holidays....it has just been so engrained in me, but I try to say Merry Christmas now that I work for a Christian employer.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Debbie. Yes, I used to say Happy Holidays, too. I saw that, that you're working at the church now. How do you like it? Last time I knew you were contemplating between 2 different career paths. I saw your pic of your outside Christmas decorations....I remember it well, as that was the first time I stopped by your house. In fact, I specifically remember you explaining the doorway, to help me find your house. :) It looks great! Did you make your handmade ornaments?
